Upper Verde Wild & Scenic River

The Upper Verde coalition reached out in need of a logo. The concepts were submitted, and none of them were cut. Three distinct directions, each with its own aesthetic and audience, evolved into a full merch line. The logo brief became something bigger. Just like the river itself, there's something here for everyone.

The Verde River is an extraordinary ribbon of life through the heart of Arizona. The Upper Verde, extending from east of Paulden to the town of Clarkdale, is one of the cleanest, healthiest, economically important, and culturally significant free-flowing rivers remaining in Arizona. The Upper Verde Wild and Scenic River Coalition seeks to designate this ribbon of life. Designation recognizes that the Upper Verde, Granite Creek, and Sycamore Canyon are national treasures.
